ASARO / YAM PORRIDGE

METHOD

        Peel Yam, cut into round pieces, dice into cubes and rinse

       Boil the meat and season till fork tender

.       Blend the fresh pepper , tatashe and onions and set aside

.       Pour 3 cups of water into a pot add the diced yam and cook for 10 minutes 

.       Pour the palm oil into a saucepan

.      Fry the blended pepper ,  tatashe , and onions for 5 minutes.

.      Add the yam with water

.       Add 1 seasoning cube , dry fish ,crayfish ,beef, grated garlic, grated ginger and continue cooking for 10 minutes or until yam is soft and sauce is thickened

       Mash  half of the yam

.       Add the remaining seasoning cube and salt if required

.      Wash spinach, shred and add

.      Simmer for 5 minutes

.      Serve hot
